My stay at the Omni Austin Hotel Downtown had its ups and downs. While I loved the spaciousness and cleanliness of my room with a view of the historic St. David's Episcopal Church, there were some service issues that detracted from the experience. The staff were generally friendly and helpful, particularly at the front desk, but the dining service was inconsistent. Overall, it’s a nice hotel in a great location, but there are areas that need improvement. 🌇✨

I found Omni Austin Hotel Downtown to be a solid option for my stay in Austin, though it had some ups and downs. The staff really stood out with their friendliness, especially at check-in. However, I was a bit disappointed with the dining options; everything felt overpriced. Still, the location was unbeatable, placing me right in the heart of the city with easy access to local attractions.

Rooms

While the bar had some great drink options, I found the food to be overpriced and not as satisfying as I hoped. Room service was decent but limited.

My stay at the Omni Austin Hotel Downtown had its highlights, particularly the clean and comfortable accommodations, but the noise levels were quite disruptive. While service was generally friendly, I faced long waits when calling for assistance. The location was fantastic, making it easy to explore Austin's attractions, though the hotel amenities had room for improvement.

Rooms

The Deluxe King Room was cozy and well-appointed, though I could hear noise from neighboring rooms. Overall, the bed was comfortable and linens were nice.
Service
6.0
I found that while the front desk staff were pleasant, my calls for extra pillows led to long hold times which was frustrating. They seemed friendly and accommodating, but the response times could be improved.
Location
9.0
The location is superb, just minutes from 6th Street and other attractions. I appreciated being able to walk to various dining and nightlife options.
Dining

I enjoyed dining at Capital A, and while service there was inconsistent, the offerings looked reasonable. However, I found the price of some dishes a bit high for what they were.
Facilities

Facilities included a rooftop pool which, despite some overcrowding, offered nice views. However, the pool was closed during my stay, which was a letdown.

5.8/10

My stay at the Omni Austin Hotel Downtown had its ups and downs. The location was fantastic, with easy access to downtown activities, but I faced some significant issues with the room amenities. While the staff were friendly and attentive, I was disappointed by uncomfortable bedding and a slow dining experience during a busy time. Overall, I appreciated the beautiful lobby and the cleanliness, but several aspects made me question the value for the price.

Rooms
5.0
The room was spacious and clean, but the mattress was too hard and the pillows were not supportive at all. I really wish I had brought my own pillows. Also, the TV barely worked and the shower had drainage problems.
Service
5.0
While the staff tried to be helpful, my dining experience was a letdown. The waiter misinformed us about our order status, leading to a long wait despite communicating our time constraints. When I attempted to resolve the charge issue with the front desk, it didn't get fixed as promised.
Location
10.0
The location is perfect for accessing all the downtown attractions and the nightlife on 6th Street. It made exploring the city really easy, which was a huge plus for me.
Dining
5.0
The dining options were limited and more affordable places were nearby. I was eager to eat at the hotel restaurant but was disappointed both by the service and the dining charge mishap.
Facilities
5.0
The rooftop pool and lobby area were visually appealing and enjoyable, even if the gym was under renovation during my stay. However, overall, I felt that some facilities, like the in-room amenities, didn't meet expectations for an upscale hotel.

My stay at Omni Austin Hotel Downtown was generally good, with a few bumps along the way. The location is fantastic, making it easy to explore the vibrant nightlife. However, I found the room a bit outdated, especially without USB ports and uncomfortable bedding. Overall, the friendly staff and rooftop pool made the experience enjoyable despite the drawbacks.

Rooms

My room was clean but felt a bit dated, especially the mattress and pillows which were not very comfortable. There was no microwave, and the bathroom tub showed signs of age.

Location
9.0
The location was perfect for exploring downtown Austin, just a few minutes from 6th Street and packed with great restaurants and bars around.
